Dr. William J. Frericks
Dr. Frericks grew up in Dayton, Ohio with his four brothers and three sisters. Dr. Frericks attended the University of Dayton and moved on to Northwestern University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. After graduating Northwestern University, Dr. Frericks taught full time at the Northwestern’s Dental School until he joined Dr. Joseph Schwarz in private practice in 1983.
Dr. Frericks lives in Winnetka, Illinois with his wife Jennifer and their dog Bella. He has two grown children; Kirby Ann and Matthew. Kirby Ann does digital marketing and lives in Chicago. Matthew works in wealth management in Denver. Dr. Frericks enjoys spending his free time with his family, golfing and traveling
Dr. Ingrid J. Schwarz
Dr. Schwarz grew up in Deerfield, Illinois, the daughter of Dr. Joseph J. Schwarz, the founding dentist of this practice. She spent her early years assisting her dad at the office and realized she shared the family passion for dentistry. Dr. Schwarz went to the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1988. After practicing dental hygiene for two years, Dr. Schwarz decided to return to the University of Iowa and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994. She believes prevention is the key to a healthy smile.
Dr. Schwarz lives in Munster, Indiana with her husband Paul who practices oral surgery in Northwest Indiana. They have four children - Henry, Frank, Hazel and Louis - who have all attended or are attending Big 10 universities. Her weekends involve lots of traveling to these college towns for football games, moms weekends, and alumni events. Dr. Schwarz also finds time for community service. She won a seat on the Munster School Board in 2016 and is currently serving her second four-year term. In addition, she sits on the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Alumni Board and the Munster Medical Research Foundation. When not working and volunteering, Dr. Schwarz enjoys tennis, pickleball, walking her dog Piper, and cooking. She is always up for a new recipe so feel free to send her your favorites!
Dr. Nathan Pinsky
Dr. Pinsky grew up in Chicago and Park Ridge, IL with his parents and two younger brothers. Dr. Pinsky attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a bachelors in both Molecular & Cellular Biology and Psychology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University, School of Dentistry. Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Pinsky attended a general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Through Northwestern’s program, Dr. Pinsky developed confidence in treating medically complex individuals in a wide variety of dental procedures ranging from dental extractions and implants, to root canals and preventative care.
Dr. Pinsky lives downtown in Streeterville with his fiance, Kirsten, and their dog, Koda. When not working, Dr. Pinsky enjoys playing guitar and piano, as well as fishing, snowboarding, basketball, and tennis.
JoAnn Butters, Dental Hygienist
JoAnn is originally from Wilton, Iowa where she grew up and went on to the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. JoAnn has been in Chicago since 1991 and has been with our practice since 1997.
JoAnn lives on the north side of Chicago and lives with her musician husband, Steve, her son Zachary and their two black cats. JoAnn enjoys exercising, reading and traveling the world.
Karyn Tanis, Dental Hygienist
Karyn grew up in northwest Indiana, just outside of Chicago. Karyn received her dental hygiene degree from Indiana University Northwest in 2003 where she was the class historian and graduated with honors.
In her spare time Karyn enjoys working out and exploring the many restaurants and neighborhoods of Chicago.
Ashley Lee, Dental Hygienist
Ashley grew up in Munster, Indiana. She graduated from Munster High School and went on to Indiana University to receive her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Ashley lives in Indiana with her husband Matt, son Fletcher, and their two dogs, Althea and Rosa. She enjoys reading and taking Althea to the dog beach in her free time.
Jaime Martello, Receptionist
Jaime grew up on the southeast side of Chicago where she graduated St. Francis de Sales High School. Jaime has also attended Morraine Valley Community College to promote her passion for art, and the Robert Morris University to brush up on her computer skills.
Jaime joined our dental team in 1998 as a dental assistant and has since moved on to be our friendly and outgoing receptionist. Jaime enjoys yoga, swimming, art projects and traveling with family and friends.
Natalia De La Cruz, Dental Assistant
Natalia grew up in the Elmwood Park area of Chicago and attended high school at the Christian Liberty Academy and three years of college at Wright Community.
Natalia lives in Northlake with her husband, Hermy, two kids, Dominic and Valentina, and their Jack Russel, Sadie and their new Old English Sheep dog puppy, Teddy Confetti. She enjoys spending time with her kids and being active.
Jasmin Figueroa, Dental Assistant
Jasmin grew up on the Southwest side of Chicago. She graduated from Reavis High School and attended two years of college at Moraine Valley. Jasmin lives in the Gold Coast area of Downtown Chicago with her boyfriend Andrew who attends Medical School at Northwestern. She enjoys traveling and working out while spending time with her two little sisters, family, and friends.
